CRAFTY'S ANGELS TEAM CHALLENGE - OCTOBER 2018

For this month's challenge, our team leader, the lovely Linda Parker from Papercraft With Crafty, sent us a kit containing a variety of supplies, e.g. cardstock, designer series paper (DSP), ribbon etc. and asked us to come up with a Christmas themed card.  This was completely out of my comfort zone as I usually have an idea of what I want to create before I get the supplies but I thoroughly enjoyed taking part.

Here is the design I came up with:

The background base to this card is made by attaching a piece of Merry Merlot cardstock to the front of a Whisper White notecard.

To make the next layer, I attached a piece of Merry Merlot & Copper reversible ribbon to the front of a piece of Joyous Noel DSP and adhered this to the card base using Tombow multipurpose liquid glue.

On a piece of copper foil, I stamped the Santa and his reindeer from the 'Hearts Come Home' stamp set using Versamark ink and heat embossed using Stampin' Up's white embossing powder.  The sentiment also came from the same stamp set.  I then used the co-ordinating 'Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies' to cut out the little houses in Whisper White cardstock and adhered this to the copper foil with the liquid glue; this was then layered onto another piece of Merry Merlot cardstock and finally added to the front of the card using stamping dimensionals.

Unfortunately, I had run out of enamel dots so I had to improvise by cutting out 3 small circles using the handheld circle punch and adding a small drop of the fine tip glue to make them shiny.

To see what the rest of our team came up with, please head on over by clicking on the following links.
